The "Yellow Army" has been dealt a massive blow just days before the start of IPL 2026. Nathan Ellis, the Australian pacer who was touted to be Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) primary death-overs specialist, has been ruled out of the entire tournament due to a hamstring injury.

With Matheesha Pathirana now in the KKR camp and Ellis unavailable, Ruturaj Gaikwad and the CSK management are left with a gaping hole in their bowling attack. While Matt Henry and Zak Foulkes are in the squad, CSK needs a specialist who can handle the pressure of the final five overs.
